      • Take out the NEW VOCAB SHEET from the FRONT!
      • Then, use the next 10 minutes to fill them in!
    • Start to think about where you would like to GO in Central/South America (or Spain)!
  • Group brainstorm: 
    • Which countries are Spanish speaking? (there are 21, + the United States!)

      • 3. Dominican Republic (La república dominicana - next to Haiti, which has some Spanish speaking parts)
      • 4. Colombia
      • 5. Puerto Rico
      • 6. Perú
      • 7. Spain / España
      • 8. IN AFRICA: Equatorial Guinea
      • 9. Venezuela
      • 10. Argentina
      • 11. Ecuador
      • 12. Bolivia
      • 13. Chile
      • 14. Nicaragua
      • 15. Costa Rica
      • 16.El Salvador
      • 17. Panamá
      • 18. Cuba
      • 19. Honduras 
      • 20. Paraguay 
      • 21.  Uruguay
      • NOT: PORTUGAL y BRAZIL → hablan portugués 
  • ¡Hablamos del vocabulario!
    • Many of these words are COGNATES (COGNADOS) -- words that are very similar (similares) in Spanish and English
      • What are some examples?
      • What’s NOT a good example?
    • How can you remember these words?
  • Priorities for the rest of class: 
    • FINISH YOUR VOCAB SHEET!
    • Then, once you SHOW IT to Ms. Williams,
    • GET AN iPAD and you may start researching places to go in the countries you might like to choose!!
