  • Calentamiento
    • Let’s DO this! Today, you’re going to finish your BROCHURES OR your PRESENTATIONS!
  • Before we leave, check:
    • Do you have 8 places?  (6 if you’re working alone?)
    • Did you use SIMPLE, COMPLETE SENTENCES, where you KNOW EACH WORD?
    • Did you use “NOSOTROS VAMOS + a + infinitive” OR “Nosotros podemos + infinitive” FOR EVERY SITE?   Example:
      • Nosotros vamos a  ir al teatro.   Podemos 
      • We are going (notes) to go to the theater (vocab).  We can
        • ver  una obra de teatro.
        • see/watch (notes)  a play (also vocab!)
    • Have you found PICTURES that RELATE to the place on each slide/stop in the brochure?
      • OKAY!   Once you’re done, please start PRACTICING!!
  • YOU ARE "DONE" WHEN YOU CAN SAY "YES" to the following:

  • WHO ARE WE WRITING FOR?
    • If you're a travel agency writing a brochure, who are you writing the brochure FOR?
      • A: Tourists
    • So, which PERSON do we use?
      • You can write for "WE" or for "YOU ALL".
    • Why not "they" or "you"?
      • Because not just one person goes, and if you say "they", you'd be describing a trip someone ALREADY TOOK (or that the person reading isn't invited to go on!!)
        • ¿Qué quieres hacer? 
          • IN ENGLISH →What do you WANT to do?
          • ANSWER, in Spanish → Yo quiero _INFINITIVE/DORMIR
          • Yo quiero dormir. Yo quiero ir afuera. Yo quiero jugar basquetbol./fútbol.

      • Take out the NEW VOCAB SHEET from the FRONT!
      • Then, use the next 5 minutes to finish them up!
    • Then, start thinking; 
      • Who would you want to work with?
      • What country would you like to work on?
      • With WHICH STUDENTS would you get the MOST DONE on a project?
      • Where are your NOTES on conjugating verbs?
  • Work time: PRIORITIES
    • FINISH YOUR VOCAB SHEET!
      • Then, once you SHOW IT to Ms. Williams,
    • GET AN iPAD and you may start researching places to go in the countries you might like to choose!!
    • REMEMBER: 
      • For our LAST ROTATION, we’re going to be doing a BROCHURE and PRESENTATION for a trip to a SPANISH SPEAKING COUNTRY!
    • You can work with up to 4 other people.
      • You can do a VIDEO, or you can do a live presentation with Google Slides (PPT) or Prezi to back you up. 
      • You only need to say about 3 sentences in Spanish, EACH.
    • Decide, please, who is going to have each TRABAJO:
      • BROCHURE editor (spelling, formatting, making sure everything’s legible and makes sense)
      • PRESENTATION editor (spelling, formatting, making sure everything’s legible and smooth)
      • BROCHURE director (making sure each team member has written their part; overall design.)
      • PRESENTATION director (making sure each team member has written their part; overall design.)
    • THEN, make sure that your team has all decided:
      • WHICH COUNTRIES DO YOU WANT?  (TOP 3!)

    • Once you have decided HOW you will present, who will do which job, WHICH COUNTRIES DO YOU WANT (TOP 3!), and picked a SPANISH-BASED AGENCY NAME, you can go to the following link:
