La agenda de miércoles, el 30 de septiembre

¡Hola hola, clase!  I hope you are feeling ready for the quiz tomorrow!  ¡Aquí está la presentación de hoy!

  • Calentamiento
    • Please put your binders underneath your desks!!
  • ¡Jeopardía!
    • Each table gets ONE SHEET.
    • You will ALL answer the question on the Jeopardy board.  
    • PLEASE MAKE SURE I CAN SEE EVERYONE SWITCHING --

      I will check for different handwriting, but will also listen to make sure one person is not blurting or showing answers to his/her teammates!
    • When you are finished, please yell “¡LISTOS!” (or “¡LISTAS!” if your table has only girls), so Ms. Williams will know to come over and check your answer!!
  • EXPECTATIONS FOR TEST-TAKING IN SPANISH CLASS:
    • Get ready for the quiz!!
    • I don’t want there to be any doubt that you did what you did ON YOUR OWN, the best you could.
    • SO, to make sure, HERE ARE MY EXPECTATIONS:
      • if you need to get up, PLEASE RAISE YOUR HAND FIRST.  Ms. Williams can come get your pencil; just raise your hand!!
      • if you have a question, please ask, QUIETLY.  The worst that can happen is Ms. Williams says “I can’t tell you that.”
      • Other than that, there is ABSOLUTELY NO TALKING.
      • YOU MAY ONLY GET UP WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED!
  • If you notice there are still some things you're getting hung up on:
    • Please use your  Study Guide to help you study more this evening!!  (Page 1)
    • Please make sure you are double checking your answers with the Answer Key!
      • If you have any other questions, please be sure to ask Ms. Williams!

2. Hola, Señor…  ¿ m ?  Hopefully you looked at the answer to figure out that it had to be ¿Cómo te llamas?     Sorry I erased that answer -- please add in letter “z”!!
3. Me llamo Leonardo.  ¿ l ?  Again, look at the answer to figure out what question this has to be -- here, it has to be ¿Cómo está usted?  He uses “Señorita’, so it has to be someone older/respected -- and nothing else that makes sense is spelled correctly!!!
4. Estoy  u IT HAS TO BE U; nothing else that makes sense is spelled correctly!!, ¡gracias!  5. ¿ p ?  Again, look at the answer to figure out what question this has to be -- AND LOOK AT THE CAPITALIZATION!!   The “Y usted” option is NOT CAPITALIZED.  So, to get the right answer, it has to be ¿Y ?   ¿Cómo estás?
6. ¡ y IT HAS TO BE Y; nothing else makes sense before →  muy feliz!   Bueno, tengo que irme.  (Well, I have to go to class.)

EXTRA CREDIT FOR SPANISH 2: ¿Qué tiempo hace hoy?
Write what the QUESTION MEANS, in English: _What’s the weather like today?  (LITERALLY:  What is the weather doing today?)__
Answer, in Spanish: _Hace… buen tiempo/frío/sol/.  OR Está nublado/soleado._


Remember to check:
  • Did I Capitalize & have the Correct Word?
  • Did I use the right Order of words?
  • Did I remember the right Verb?
  • Did I get the right Ending for my verbs?
  • Did I remember the Reflexive PRONOUNS (like “te” and “me”)?
  • (No Tenses to worry about, this quiz!)

  • Did I remember to put on the Accents and ñs?
  • Did I check my Spelling?
  • Did I remember to change the Adjective endings -- especially for females (Example: ¿Cómo estás?  Estoy enferma.)
  • Did I remember my Punctuation -- periods, question marks, and exclamation points?

    • We are going to make FOUR TEAMS!

    • When Ms. Williams shows a flashcard, it is your job to:
      • GRAB THE DINOSAUR!
      • SAY THE SPANISH EQUIVALENT of what’s on the card, correctly.
      • DO NOT SPEAK unless you have the ball!
    • If the person with the dino gets it wrong, other teams can steal by saying the correct answer!

      • We will start with Part D, which is very close to our Calentamiento.
      • Then, we will move backwards to Parts C & B, making sure you don't have any questions!

    • Here is the way Ms. Williams can tell if you are correct (and, now, so can you!)

      You need to:

      • Go through your CORRECT YO SELF guide to find it with your table partners!!
    • When you have used the whole guide, come up to Ms. Williams for the next slip of paper!
      • You will only get the next slip of paper if you have made all of the corrections -- correct wisely!!
