La agenda de jueves y viernes, el 19 y 20 de mayo

¡Hola hola, clase!  ¡Feliz mayo!  ¡Aquí está la presentación de hoy!

  • Calentamiento
    • ¡Saquen ustedes sus SAMs y los cuadernos!
    • ¡Hacemos las investigaciones!
      • Let’s DO this! Today, you’re going to DECIDE which places your tour agency will visit w/in your country, and keep going on your BROCHURES!
    • But first, let’s think of the TWO kinds of sentences you can write!
  • WHO ARE WE WRITING FOR?
    • If you're a travel agency writing a brochure, who are you writing the brochure FOR?
      • A: Tourists
    • So, which PERSON do we use?
      • You can write for "WE" or for "YOU ALL".
    • Why not "they" or "you"?
      • Because not just one person goes, and if you say "they", you'd be describing a trip someone ALREADY TOOK (or that the person reading isn't invited to go on!!)
        • ¿Qué quieres hacer?
          • IN ENGLISH →What do you WANT to do?
          • ANSWER, in Spanish → Yo quiero _INFINITIVE/DORMIR
          • Yo quiero dormir. Yo quiero ir afuera. Yo quiero jugar basquetbol./fútbol.
        • ¿Qué vas a hacer este fin de semana?
          • In ENGLISH→ What are you going to do this weekend?
          • ANSWER, in SPANISH →    Yo voy a _INF; -ar, er, ir_
          • OR “Yo no voy a hacer nada” → I’m not going to do anything.
        • ¿Puedes montar en monopatín/andar en patineta?
          • In ENGLISH→ Can you skateboard?
          • Answer, in Spanish? →  Sí puedo montar en monopatín.
          • No, no puedo montar en monopatín.
  • Country research continued: in the library!!
    • Los lugares interesantes de COUNTRY NAME HERE
      • The [most] interesting places of YOUR COUNTRY:
      •  Write what you can
      •   En español
      •   El zoológico ______
      •  El museo _______
      •  Ciudad:
        • Then, start thinking:  Which of these seem the COOLEST?
        • What could you/travelers do there?
  • ON YOUR BROCHURES, please write a few SENTENCES about what you can/WILL do there!!
    • What things CAN your tour group or WILL your tour group go see and do there?
      • TO BE ABLE TO = PODER
        • Nosotros podemos...
        • Ustedes pueden...
    • TO GO (I’m going to) = IR
      • What is your group GOING to go/do?
        • Nosotros vamos a...
        • Ustedes van a...
  • ¡ESCRIBIMOS!
    • Good sites to begin with:
      • CIA Factbook
      • lonelyplanet
    • Remember to tell:
      • What things CAN you go see and do there?
        • TO BE ABLE TO = PODER
      • What is your group GOING to go/do?
        • TO GO (I’m going to) = IR
      • EACH PERSON chooses 1-2 places (or 4-6 if it’s a group of 2, or all 8-12 if it’s a group of 1) to WRITE ABOUT; write what your tour group WILL/CAN DO!
  • PRIORITIES IN THE COMPUTER LAB (214):
    • 1. Make sure you filled out the form: tinyurl.com/PropuestadelGrupo
    • 2. Decide, as a group: WHO are you going to talk about?
