- But first, let’s think of the TWO kinds of sentences you can write!
- WHO ARE WE WRITING FOR?
- If you're a travel agency writing a brochure, who are you writing the brochure FOR?
- A: Tourists
- So, which PERSON do we use?
- You can write for "WE" or for "YOU ALL".
- Why not "they" or "you"?
- Because not just one person goes, and if you say "they", you'd be describing a trip someone ALREADY TOOK (or that the person reading isn't invited to go on!!)
- ¿Qué quieres hacer?
- IN ENGLISH →What do you WANT to do?
- ANSWER, in Spanish → Yo quiero _INFINITIVE/DORMIR
- Yo quiero dormir. Yo quiero ir afuera. Yo quiero jugar basquetbol./fútbol.
- ¿Qué vas a hacer este fin de semana?
- In ENGLISH→ What are you going to do this weekend?
- ANSWER, in SPANISH → Yo voy a _INF; -ar, er, ir_
- OR “Yo no voy a hacer nada” → I’m not going to do anything.
- ¿Puedes montar en monopatín/andar en patineta?
- In ENGLISH→ Can you skateboard?
- Answer, in Spanish? → Sí puedo montar en monopatín.
